We’re proud to announce the inaugural Delvinia Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award was handed out at a luncheon ceremony hosted by the RTA School of Media at Ryerson University earlier today.
Bailey Parnell, a 4th year Media Production student in the RTA School of Media in the Faculty of Communication and Design, is this year’s recipient. (Congratulations, Bailey!) Bailey was selected for her entrepreneurial spirit of finding new ideas and solutions and thinking outside of the box to make these ideas a reality.
The award, founded by our CEO Adam Froman, is for digital entrepreneurs who push boundaries, aim high and take big risks. The scholarship was created for students entering into their final undergraduate year with the award recipient being invited to participate in a mentorship opportunity with Adam.
In addition to meeting certain academic requirements, students were asked to submit a written statement as part of their submission answering the question: In your experience, as an aspiring digital entrepreneur, how do you connect with an entrepreneurial story like Delvinia’s?
The Ryerson scholarship is one of three annual scholarships that Delvinia is in the process of establishing at Toronto universities. The others include the Schulich School of Business at York University and the University of Toronto, Adam’s alma maters. Adam not only wanted to give back and to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of students, but also to partner with area universities to invest in next generation talent.
Congratulations once again to Bailey on being chosen as the inaugural recipient of our new award!
