Panel Management: Random House BookLounge
The Case
Random House of Canada created a new website for avid readers called the BookLounge. Consumers sign up to join the BookLounge where they are able to voice their opinions on book-related topics. Random House needed someone to manage the online consumer panel, deploy invitations to their members, and program and host the surveys.
The Story
The Delvinia Data Collection team was asked to deploy the emails inviting members to join Random House’s online consumer panel (called the Editorial Board), manage the panel, then program and host the surveys. The programming of the surveys takes 1 to 2 days and they generally run for 1 to 2 weeks. The Editorial Board is highly engaged, with a 45% to 50% response rates on all surveys.
Random House is able to leverage the results of these surveys to better market their products.
