Sometimes convenience rules regardless of cost but I know what you mean about being amazed at the difference in cost. I too am amazed at the savings and wonder why more people don't take advantage of the savings.

Thanks for sharing. So far its looking like they all have their unique personalities. I'm now starting to feel jealous as ours doesn't have a fresh fish counter. The one I go it is very small so lack of space is a challenge. Not sure if you're familiar with the area but the owner should be thinking about purchasing the empty store beside. It used to be a Woolworths in the day so a huge space. Keep the comments coming.nn

I do about 80% of my shopping at No Frills too Sara. We have a wide range of customer types at our store in Cobourg and it tries to cater to everyone. I find the PC selection is not at wide as it is at Loblaws, but they do carry most of the... popular selections. They have a kick-ass produce section and even carry locally grown produce in season. I don't buy much meat there and the selection is not great. I guess they know that's not their strong point. It always amazed me how much bang I get for my buck there. I sometimes pick up a few items at the Metro next to my office, but I am always freaked out by how much more everything costs there! Great blog Sara.

Sean Mc DermottnThe No Frills at Dufferin and College in the heart of the Portugese and up and coming Vietnamese communities has one of the best fresh fish counters in the city ( I only eat fish not meat, but the butcher is amazing also). Both counters are like a little bit of St Lawrence Market in your No Frills. Perfect example of consumer driven services. I love the 30% discount on most of my various sundries for stocking the cupboards and fridge also. Huge specials every week. This lines up perfectly with your comment...so do you have to be smart to be upscale or upscale to be smart?!!!
