They can do wonders for your posture – not to mention your confidence – but as the men of Delvinia and AskingCanadians are soon to find out; walking in heels is no easy feat.
To get the boys off on the right foot (pun intended) for the White Ribbon Campaign’s upcoming Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraising event, the team attended a Practice and Shoe Shopping Event hosted by Walk a Mile Toronto on Thursday night.
The evening kicked off with a practice session at Turf Lounge, where bartenders served specialty drinks like the Slingback Cocktail and the Blistered Stiletto. Event MC Steve Anthony of CP24 Breakfast, along with the restaurant staff, offered tips on how to walk in heels (practice, practice, practice!) and from there we headed over to Payless Shoesource on Yonge Street to outfit the men.
As you can see from the photo here, the guys didn’t opt for comfort when they made their final choices. To see the rest of last night’s pictures, see the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes – Meetup & Shoe Shopping photo album on our Facebook page.
Thanks to everyone who’s donated to our team so far! We’ve surpassed our original goal of $1,500 and are now close to raising $2,200. To help us gain the top fundraising spot, support our team and sponsor us here: http://bit.ly/REwrR2.
