The Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) is taking marketing to a new level with a series of videos promoting the CMA Summit 2012, which takes place at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel on May 16 and 17.

In the first of the five “Connections” videos, a top level executive announces to his team that he’s invited a family to move into the office so they can get to know their customers better. The following four videos, which have titles like “Milk” and “The Q3,” depict hilarious encounters between employees and each member of the family.

The “Connections” videos play up the theme of this year’s event, which is all about getting to really know your customer; Listen, Engage and Measure.

Adam Froman, our CEO, is among the speakers (he’ll be talking about how to capture and act on the voice of the customer to create better customer experiences) and I’m a member of the organizing committee.

The lineup for the event also includes names like Sir Ken Robinson, PhD, Best-Selling Author of The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything; Joanna Miles, Vice-President, Marketing, Alliance Films; Jordan Banks, Managing Director, Facebook Canada; Bryan Pearson, President and CEO, LoyaltyOne; and Ethan Zuckerman, Director, MIT Center for Civic Media and Co-founder, Global Voices.
