Delvinia's association with the Town of Markham began in 2003 when Delvinia was hired to create a voter outreach campaign that would promote the launch of Markham's Internet voting pilot program. At the time, Markham was the first major municipality in Canada to offer Internet voting. The initiative was deemed a success with over 7,000 ballots cast online.
In the 2006 election, Markham offered Internet voting for the second time and Delvinia was again selected as the city's digital agency. Delvinia developed a new campaign, enhancing the digital voter experience that was originally created in 2003 by incorporating newer tactics like social media.
Once again, Internet voting made a positive impact on the election results.
