Front-end Developer (short term contract)

Delvinia is hiring a crackerjack front-end developer for a short-term, full-time contract. Based at our downtown Toronto office, you’ll be working on new site launches, while also experimenting with some cool new stuff for our clients.
You have mad skills:
- Strong HTML / XHTML / JavaScript (AJAX, DOM, JSON) / CSS and familiarity with HTML5, CSS3
- Programming familiarity of languages such as PHP and Java
- WordPress setup, plugin management and development skills
- Optimizing content for mobile web deployment
- Familiarity with XML and API’s such as Twitter, Flickr, Google Maps, Facebook Social Plugins
- Working knowledge of W3C specifications and best practices for web page development
- Deep understanding of CSS inheritance and how to use it to your advantage
- Familiarity with CMS architecture and functionality
- In-depth knowledge of IE quirks and how to address them.
- A good ideology for managing maintainable, scalable and cross-browser code across large sites.
- Familiar with source control principles and comfortable with SVN
- Experience with network/internet security
- Very well versed in modern web development practices such as web semantics and accessibility
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in a variety of written and diagrammatic forms
Your experience:
- 3+ years relevant experience working in a busy studio environment
- Demonstrated ability to self-define and execute innovation projects
