Delvinia Interactive is a digital marketing and interactive solutions firm that designs innovative strategies to enhance the way customers experience and use online, mobile, and other digital technologies. Delvinia Data Collection is a full service, online data collection firm servicing the needs of the Market Research community. Delvinia also owns and manages proprietary online consumer research panels under the brands AskingCanadians™ and Qu’en pensez-vous.
Delvinia’s Digital Customer Experience Insight Engine is a business intelligence data warehouse from which actionable, Digital Customer Experience-related insights can be drawn. The data in the engine includes information we gather via AskingCanadians™ and Qu’en pensez-vous in combination with relevant external data overlays acquired from other data sources.
Job Description
As Data Analyst for Delvinia’s Insight Engine, you will provide both proactive and reactive recommendations to our internal team of website developers and client strategists as they leverage data-driven insight to build strategic solutions for our clients’ business challenges and objectives. Ultimately, your work will help to develop, create and implement more targeted, relevant products, services, and digital experiences for Canadian consumers!
Your past experience includes manipulating multiple data sets, running descriptive and multivariate analyses, and most importantly, working to build a story with the data. A strong analytics background with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAS is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and participate in data coding, data merging, ad hoc data analysis, and report development using SAS.
- Along with Insight Manager, liaise with website developers and client strategists to interpret and predict their immediate and ongoing needs.
- Run descriptive and multivariate data inquiries.
- Work with Insight Manager to interpret and visualize analytical results.
- Work with Insight Manager to determine reporting needs & create trending reports.
- Record and document data processes (preferably using SAS syntax).
- Work with Insight Manager to build an insight-driven culture.
- Other responsibilities as business needs evolve.
These responsibilities will require a basic statistical background with a keen interest to learn new methods, and the ability to understand business goals to meet the demands posed by a fast-paced business environment.
Qualifications/Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 3-5 years work experience and a university degree or equivalent experience.
- SAS expertise.
- Ability to understand and proactively identify what potential insights may be derived based on the combination of data at hand.
- Experience with analyzing and interpreting postal code-level data, as well as 1:1 data.
- Experience with web analytics.
- Strategic insight in the delivery of data; an understanding of how to effectively “tell the story” based on the insights uncovered.
- Ability to visually represent data in ways that are easily digestible for a marketing audience.
- Attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
- Excellent written & verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and thrive in fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Quick learner and ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
- A good sense of humour.
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, internet skills.
